Football Player 2

Matt’s (not his real name) normal schedule: wake up at 6am, do some light cardio, spend a short 1 hour warming up in the gym, team practice in the afternoon, more cardio and weight lifting in the evening, finally head to bed around 10pm ready to start the process again the next day.

Matt is a professional NFL football player. And as with any professional athlete, days are long and training tough, but all worth it for the love of the game.

Unless you are in constant pain.

After several years in the NFL, Matt says, your body will start to wear out. Matt has had increasing pain in his knees, due to the intense pressure from each sprint, turn, and tackle and the long time spent on his feet every day.

Matt has been playing football since he was 8 years old. Ever since he first picked up the ball he was in love with the game: the sound of cleats stomping across the field, the physicality of every hit, the joy of helping your team score a game-winning touchdown.

But with constant knee pain, he has had to miss practices, spend less time with his teammates, and watch his competition catch up to him in the lineups. He has tried every remedy allowed by the NFL League, Matt says, but nothing can keep the pain away for long. Many members of his athletic team and several orthopedic surgeons said the only way he would be able to play at peak levels is with total knee replacement surgery.

Matt was not about to give up his career – for a professional athlete in his prime, total knee replacement surgery runs the risk of terrible complications, never lets you return to peak physical form, and takes you out of the game for so long you miss a significant portion of the best playing years of your life. He knew there had to be a better solution.

After speaking to other professional NFL football players, he heard about Dr. Garg at SmartChoice Stem Cell Institute in Jacksonville, FL. Dr. Garg is a leading expert in the field of regenerative medicine with over 10 years of experience performing these procedures.

Dr. Garg reviewed Matt’s medical history and current condition and gave Matt the great news, “You were right, you don’t need surgery. Our SmartChoice procedure will get you back in the game without the risks and dangers of surgery.”

Avoid Surgery

Dr. Garg has vast experience treating all manner of joint pain and sports injury. Over his 10 years at SmartChoice Stem Cell Institute, he has had many patients come in, from professional athletes to weekend warriors to people who wanted more energy to play with their kids. Each was worried that surgery was their only option, as that is usually the only option surgeons will mention.

“It’s a shame that more doctors and surgeons aren’t aware of the progress made in regenerative medicine treatments,” Dr. Garg says “Many patients could have avoided surgery if they had been made aware of the benefits of Stem Cell procedures.”

Surgery has many negative side effects, including pain, scarring, blood loss, suboptimal joint functionality, and long recovery times. Nobody wants to go under the knife for these reasons and only opt for surgery as a last resort.

Dr. Garg has never had any complications from the SmartChoice Procedure in his more than 10 years of treating patients. “With SmartChoice Stem Cell procedures, patients are able to walk out of the office the same day, never have complications, and are able to return to their lives within days, not months” informs Dr. Garg.

SmartChoice Stem Cell Institute: The New Gold Standard

SmartChoice Stem Cell Institute uses PRP and adult Stem Cells from the patient’s own body to regenerate cartilage and connective tissue in the joints including tendons and ligaments.

Stem cells are naturally occurring cells in the body that help to create new cells in existing healthy tissues. They also help repair tissues that are injured or damaged. They are the basis for the specific cell types that make up each organ in the body.

The SmartChoice treatment technique includes ultrasound-guided injections that deliver your own adult stem cells from fat AND bone marrow to the precise location of the pain and injury, making this treatment more effective. This promotes healing of the injured and damaged tissues without the risks associated with surgery.

People coping with such ailments as sports injuries, tendon strains, sprained ligaments, muscle injuries, and arthritis will be glad to know that surgery is not the only option of treatment available to them. Faster healing and improved functionality are both possible with our innovative, cutting- edge ADULT stem cell and PRP procedures.

Back in the Game

After the SmartChoice Stem Cell Procedure, Matt is back to playing and competing at the top levels of the NFL League, and more importantly – enjoying football once again.

Without the SmartChoice Procedure, Matt thought he might have to end his career as a professional football player. He is so happy to be able to continue playing the sport he loves at a level of competition that only the fittest of athletes could endure.

Rather than spending moths recovering after surgery, Matt was able to get back in the game. Within a few weeks, he said, he was able to resume full day practices and was making it through entire games – a feat he couldn’t accomplish for months before due to the constant pain in his knees.

“I owe it all to Dr. Garg and SmartChoice Stem Cell Institute. Their treatment possibly saved my career and definitely allowed me to enjoy the sport I love to play,” Matt says. “I recommend anyone considering surgery to first talk to Dr. Garg and SmartChoice Stem Cell Institute.”
